happy with green
Brek: How long have you been surfing?
Robin: I have been surfing since the age of thirteen and I’m twenty-five now… So I guess that’s half of my life.
Brek: Do you remember your first good ride?
Robin: My first good wave was a little one really close to the beach. While trying to prevent a straight hander and ending up on the sand the wave actually forced me in to my first good ride.
Brek: What is your regular spot?
Robin: My regular spot is Scheveningen, in the Scheveningen. Although the Netherlands is not well known for beautiful waves and most of the time the water is pretty cold, every now and then little wind swells provide us some fun waves.
brk04964
no localism here
Brek: Have you had any trouble in the water?
Robin: Believe it or not, Scheveningen used to be known for it’s localism. As a grom I got sent out of the water a few times.
Brek: Where was your last epic session?
Robin: My last epic session was in G-land.
Brek: What’s your favourite food?
brk04966
scccchhhhh!
Robin: My favourite food is Indonesian food, nasi kuning rames special!
Brek: What else should we know about you?
Robin: I’m 1,96 meter tall and love to eat pastel de nata.
Brek: Any message you want to leave here?
Robin: Read a good book every now and then and
eat every pastel de nata like it’s your last!

Brek: What type of surfboard do you ride?

Massimo: Eeeeeh……. Depends a lot from the conditions when I arrived in June one
and half year ago, I was surfing only a 9.0 longboard then after the summer I saw
the conditions and I decided to get back to smaller boards, I got a single fin 6.0 now is dead… At the moment i have 1 twin, 1 single, 1 truster and 1 longboard, it´s fun to change.

Brek: Have you had any trouble in the water?

Massimo: Just once in Ponta Ruiva ,I had an unfriendly chat with a guy that lives
here, haven’t meet him yet- I am sure is fine was nothing really hardcore, sometimes it
can happen i get a lot of waves and people get pissed.

Longboarding days
Brek: What type of surfboard do you ride?
Alain: I surfed longboard long, then after a trip to Mentawai I got back to surfing with smaller board. I use a Phil Grace 7 foot single fin.
Brek: Have you had any trouble in the water?
Alain: I often have back pain because of lack of activity during the winter and it is true that at the beginning of the season it is difficult to recover the sensations.
Brek: Where was your last epic session?
Alain: The finest surfing his last year was at Lagoa de Santo André in April after the opening of the lagoon. It was like a miracle. Definitely the most beautiful ephemeral spot I’ve seen.

all down the line
Brek: What´s your favorite food?
Alain: After 50 years you have to be careful what you eat, so I eat a lot of vegetable, fish, white meat. But I have a weakness for Spanish ham from Badajos
I love cooking.
Brek: Any message you want to leave here…
Alain: Respect one another in the water because there are many people at present. And if no one makes any effort it will be complicated in a short time
Brek: What else should we know about you?
Alain: I have been a photographer for 30 years. Married with a 17 year old daughter. I work for the industry and unfortunately not for surfing. Too complicated in France.
I live in the countryside 10 minutes from the sea. I love the south of Portugal because it is a place that makes me happy. The light is so beautiful that it gives the clear idea.
